Tuttle LA at Toorak Coffee

The photo above was taken at our beloved Toorak Coffee, Tuttle LA’s venue for the past year. It was a fantastic place: open, bright, strong wifi, big tables and excellent grub. Sadly, we got word earlier this week that Toorak had closed its doors for good. If anyone from Toorak is reading this, we’d like to thank you for your hospitality. Truly.

So where next? Jeb did a fair amount of searching and found us a cozy new place to meet. It’s called cha FOR TEA in Long Beach. Jeb says “The food is good, the tea is amazing, there’s good music and the patrons are interesting to watch. Also freeway close and free wifi.” Sounds the business, right? There’s a bank of tables on the back right that should suit us well.

Oh deary me! Is it Tuttle time again? We’ll be meeting once again at the Library Coffee House in the eclectic part of Long Beach. I’ll just go ahead and assume now that we’ll have yet another wonderful turn out.

Did you notice how different Tuttle LA felt last time? The dynamics of the group are definitely morphing into something wonderful as more and more people join us. It was the first time that I was unable to get around to talking with everyone. Don’t get me wrong, people weren’t falling out into the streets, but our little side room off the coffee house is getting a little more crowded. And what the hell are they doing to our space!? It was once airy, bright, and zen like. Now we’re meeting amongst racks or prom dresses, children’s shoes, and paintings of car crashes. Bizarre, but truth be told, I like it.

To all the new faces we saw last time, thanks so much for coming out. We loved having you and hope you join us again. To everyone else in LA that wants to meet up with the city’s only social media cafe, follow the directions below
