Welcome to Tuttle LA, the place for LA-area social media pros and fans to meet, network and grab a cup of coffee. We tend to talk about social networking, mobile phones, websites, Twitter, music and film, and we're happy to welcome anyone who wants to join us, either online on in person.

Hullo all! Just a reminder, it’s Tuttle week once again! They sure come up quick. I’m looking forward to hearing Al Pavangkanan’s Comic-Con stories and seeing how everyone is getting along with things. Tuttle Club is LA’s only regular social media cafe. Well, it’s been a big week for me — a move, a birthday, and an exciting new job offer! Unfortunately, that may mean that I won’t be able to come to Tuttle quite so often, at least for the next few months, but I’ll see what I can do, and I’ll still make sure all the other regulars will still be showing up for coffee and conversation every other week.

That said, this Friday we’ll be doing the usual, discussing work, freelancing, tech, design, phones and lots more. Join us, bring a friend, and be ready to meet some smart and creative new people. Last week a friend of mine from middle school just happened to be nearby and joined us, which was quite a treat for me.

I hope everyone is doing well this week — can you believe it’s already July? Well, if you’re not heading out of town for the holiday weekend (or if you have some time to spare before you leave), we’d love to see you at Tuttle LA this Friday!

I loved learning about Moshi Monsters last week with David’s son, and it was great to play with Jeb’s youngest daughter.
